Bridgethorne, the category management, shopper marketing and customer development specialist, has teamed up with Nielsen, a global provider of information and insights into what consumers watch and buy, to help businesses find insights and create action plans from their company and sector data through training workshops.
Helping businesses find the ‘magic in their data’, these workshops, which will be delivered through the Bridgethorne Academy in Ascot, have been designed to show delegates how to turn data into insight and in doing so gain better understanding of shopper behaviour, category and range management. By interpreting the correct data to develop solutions to their key business challenges, tangible action plans can be developed to lead and drive profitable growth.
John Nevens, director at Bridgethorne, says; ‘we are delighted to collaborate with Nielsen to provide these workshops. This joint initiative has been borne from clients’ requests for more assistance in identifying, procuring and translating the right data to find actionable solutions. Often the amount of information available is overwhelming, and without understanding what your business needs from it, it can be extremely difficult to gain any value. The aim of our workshops is to help clients identify core requirements and turn passive data into active deliverables.’
Commercial director at Nielsen UK, Andy Morton, adds; ‘we are planning a number of different courses, having spoken to our clients about their business challenges and their top requirements for training. With an increasing breadth and depth of data available, we are regularly asked by our clients for techniques and best practices to uncover the actionable insight. Working with Bridgethorne enables us to offer this to a broader audience, combining our company’s expertise with the training experience of the Bridgethorne Academy.’
The first training workshop, ‘Unlocking Insight from Data’, is taking place on Thursday 11th July at the Bridgethorne Academy in Ascot. The workshop will provide a comprehensive programme of training, including:
- Deducing and asking the right questions to answer your business needs
- Identifying all your information sources – the obscure as well as the obvious
- Linking sources to pull together the ‘bigger picture’
- Extracting insight for better decision making
- Prioritising business implications and formulating compelling action plans
